Worked on a green apple today. I am understanding oils a bit better than before. I need to work on my color mixing etc... but am liking where my work is heading.
Hi Tim, I was visiting Abbey Ryan's blog and in her Dec 07 posts (scroll down ...I think it is Dec 4th or 5th) she painted an antique Christmas ornament...and it made me think of you! Happy Painting!
My name is Tim Cavanaugh and I live in Hull Massachusetts, a small coastal town south of Boston. I have recently begun to re-explore painting after many years. I began painting in college with watercolors and in the summer of 2008 while working at a local Art Gallery began to paint with Acrylics. In March 2009 after taking a Carol Marine workshop in Westford MA, I started to explore Oils. The workshop was a great experience where I met an amazing group of talented artists, giving me the inspiration to continue exploring my painting. With lots of encouragement from family, friends and other artists I decided to start a blog. My goal is to feel comfortable enough to begin to post my “Painting a Day”. Thanks for visiting and being part of my journey.
Tim, nice apple! Great job with the edges and the shadow.
ReplyDeleteReally nice. Where can I go to buy your stuff?
